Moi University

Moi University is a university in Eldoret, western Kenya. It is one of seven national higher education institutions, the others being the University of Nairobi, Jomo Kenyatta University, Maseno University, Egerton University,Western University College of Science and Technology and Kenyatta University. It was established in 1984 by the Moi University Act of Parliament. As of 2006 it had 14,855 students of whom 13,984 were undergraduates, and operates four campuses and one constituent college.
The university emphasises science and technology over arts. It has the following schools:
- School of Agriculture and Biotechnology
- School of Economics and Business Management
- School of Education
- School of Information Sciences
- School of Engineering
- School of Science
- School of Natural Resources Management
- School of Medicine
- School of Public Health
- School of Law
- School of Environmental Studies
- School of Arts and Social Sciences
- School of Human Resource Development
