Mohammed Nour al-Din Saffi (Arabic: محمد نورالدين صافي‎) is an employee of Air New Zealand and the stepson of Saddam Hussein, the former President of Iraq and son of Nour al-Din the former General director of Iraqi Airways. Saffi left Iraq after the Gulf War. In July 2002 he was briefly detained by United States authorities after attending flight training refresher courses in the US while on a tourist visa. Saffi was released when it was apparent that he never posed a threat.
