According to Rahim he had worked as a buyer for a Kabul Department store.[1] According to Rahim Mohammed Ibrahim was in charge of the store's senior purchasing department. The factors prepared by Guantanamo intelligence analysts allege that Rahim and his boss were "logistics officers" for a Taliban store.

However, other factors report that an individual named Mohammed Ibrahim was appointed the Taliban Deputy Director of Intelligence.[1] And the factors assert that Mohamed Rahim followed Mohammed Ibrahim, the Taliban's Deputy Director of Intelligence around, to high-level Taliban planning sessions, serving as his assistant.
