Mohammad Khaksar
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Mohammad Khaksar was a former Taliban deputy Minister of the Interior. He is notable because he is reported to have been spying on the Taliban. Khaksar was assassinated on January 14, 2006 by Taliban gunmen.[1]
A press release quoted Hamid Karzai's comments on the assassination:[1]
- "This action of the ousted Taliban's seniors well explains their weakness, fear and is a clear indication of their hostility with the peace process. Their purpose of disturbing the peace process is not only to shed the blood of innocent people but even their own former supporters, which is both against the sacred religion of Islam and humanity."
