Mohamed Nuur Giriig was one of the best classic singers that Somalia ever had. He was born to a Makhir coast family from Las Khorey. In 1954, he joined a group of auditioners, among which he came out the number one to be selected as a member of Oud singers. His songs are hit songs. He is a member of the Warsangeli clan.
