Mohamed Kanu

Mohamed Kanu (born July 5, 1968 in Freetown) is a retired Sierra Leonese football player. He used to play as centre-back or libero.
He used to play for his country [1], but it remains unknown how many times Kanu actually did defend the colours of Sierra Leone.

Kanu started his career with the youth academy of Freetown United. Later, he would move on to Belgium where he would finish his career and remain living there.

- During his 5 year stay at Cercle Brugge, Kanu was twice voted the best player of the season by the fans, winning the Pop Poll in 2000 and 2003.
