[edit] Poblacion Landmarks

Mogpog houses two semi-private high schools in the poblacion area - Quezon Roxas High School and the Marinduque Academy, the latter located at Barangay Gitnang Bayan - the highschool with the most anticipated Drum and Bugle Corps (DBC).

Seated near the Marinduque Academy is the Mogpog Central School, an elementary school near the base of the St. Isidore Labradore Parish.

Not far from the Academy is the town plaza, located right at the side of the Academy's Main Building, which shows a great view of a local park, the Municipal Building, and the Trial Court -all of which covers the town public market.

Balanacan is the barangay where the main shipping port is located. It is famous for it's large image of Our Lady of Peace and Good Voyage, erected at a top of a shed on a mound of land overlooking the sea.
