I have serious doubts as to the accuracy of this article. It is absolutely incorrect to say that as late as 1889 the first church in Sub-Saharan Africa north of Pretoria was at Nylstroom. By this time the Portuguese had possessed colonies in Angola and Mozambique for several hundred years and I believe it is inconcievable that they would not have built churches in their colonies. In addition Ethopia has had Christianity even longer and has many ancient churches and monastries.
