Billy, one day, is digging in his yard for some reason and Mandy and Grim ask Billy the reason for this. Billy replies, saying he's digging to the center of the earth where it's all nice and hot. Mandy replies saying that he'd boil like a lobster. Grim then has a fantasy of Billy being a lobster and Grim boiling him alive. Grim chuckles at this fantasy and Mandy says that they were having the same fantasy. Billy than says he found cool ice. Grim says to Billy this is permafrost and it has been frozen for millions of years. Billy says it explains how he found the caveman who is actually Fred Flintstone. Billy throws the caveman trapped in ice at Grim who reinactes the famous shoe dissolving scene from the wizard of Oz . Billy keeps Fred as a pet and Grim defrosts him. Fred has trouble adapting at first but later succeeds. Billy brings "Jake Steel", which he dubbs Flintstone, for show and tell and comes up after Pud'n talks about Capatain Deadwood. Fred than breaks down and goes crazy due to stress of new life and captures the teacher, Ms. Butterbean, adding happiness to the children. Fred eventually crashes into a car and gets inprisoned by solid icecream. The last scene shows the future where the Eifel Tower is buried by sand, a reference to Planet of the Apes . Fred is defrosted by giant aliens along with Billy, who was also trapped in the ice cream when he fell in the hole Grim threw Jake back in, and the aliens eat Billy's brains. Fred grumbles.

Irwin is watching a "Sassy Cat" commercial. Billy knocks on the window and Irwin quickly hides behind the couch. Billy wants him and Irwin to watch a monster movie, but Irwin says that his Mom doesn't let him watch monster movies. So Billy gets an idea: For Irwin to sneak out and go with Billy to Mandy's house and watch that monster movie in Mandy's new plasma TV. But instead, Grim, Billy and Irwin end up dumping Mandy and going to Japan to see and battle real monsters. Mandy arrives to save the day and take revenge for disobeying her.

[edit] End Credits

It shows Betty and Barney Rubble at home. The door bell rings and Barney answers it. It's Billy. He makes a bunch of nasty noises and faces. Then Barney hits him with his club and goes back inside. Betty asks who it was and Barney says "Proof against evolution."

[edit] Cultural References

  • When Cragerah asks Billy if he knows Mandy, he says "Yep, but Mandy's gonna DESTROY US ALL!" a gag from Attack of the Clowns.
  • Fred uses his feet to drive a stolen car, just as he does in The Flintstones.
  • 5 Japanese monsters as well as one American monster are spoofed in Giant Billy and Mandy All-Out Attack. Cragerah is Gamera, Kittyra is King Ghidorah, Billy turns into what looks like Ultraman, Gorillasaur is King Kong, and MechaGorillasaur is Mecha-Kong.
  • In Giant Billy and Mandy All-Out Attack, the movie Kill Bill is referenced several times.
  • When Mandy arrives in Japan, she is dressed in a yellow jumpsuit, similar to that worn by The Bride (which is itself a reference to Bruce Lee's outfit worn in the film Game of Death). She then takes out a list, crossing out Mindy, leaving Billy, Irwin and Grim. Finally, the red closeup on Mandy's face mimics that of The Bride, with a similar rendition of Quincy Jones's Ironside and the screen turning red.
  • In Modern Primitives, Grim, Billy, Mandy, and Irwin used Grim's scythe to fly in front of the moon on Irwin's bike, parodying the bike-flying scene from E.T.. Billy makes sure we notice the connection by mentioning it.
  • In Giant Billy and Mandy All-Out Attack, Mandy runs Irwin over, driving Kaneda's bike from the anime movie classic, Akira. This marks the second time Mandy rode the same red motorcycle since Hog Wild.
  • Pud'n's report about Captain Deadwood the Heartless is based on the events from Billy Ocean.
  • In Modern Primitives, Fred only says "Yabba-Dabba-Doo!", but he did say one English word "Fred". He usually says "Yabba dabba!" instead of "Yabba dabba doo!", especially when he gets really riled up.
  • At the end of Modern Primitives, Mandy says: "What a waste of an episode", breaking the fourth wall.
  • "Kittyra" is a spoof of King Ghidorah, the three-headed dragon. Kittyra is a three-headed cat.
  • Cragerah's description of himself as "Friend of All Children" is identical to the title given to Gamera in the original series of Gamera films, where Gamera often rescued children in need from giant monsters and aliens.
  • Ms. Butterbean tells Fred she wants 2.5 children. It's a reference to the supposed "average" size of an American family.
  • At the end of the Modern Primitives episode, Fred is frozen in orange sherbet, a reference to the popular Flinstones Push-pops ice cream treats[citation needed].

[edit] Goofs

  • When Mandy demands that Grim open the door for Billy & Irwin, he walks down the hallway instead of going to the front door which is right next to the couch Mandy is sitting on.
