Model maker

A model maker is a professional craftsperson who creates architectural models (see Architectural model).

A model maker is also person who works in a machine shop and builds prototypes for customers. The model maker must be highly skilled in the use of many machines including but not limited to manual lathes, manual mills, CNC machines, Wire EDM, water jet, Tig welder, sheet metal fabrication tools and wood working tools.
