Mockup (operating system)
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Mockup is an open source desktop operating system, based on a modified Linux kernel with a GNU foundation and its own desktop environment, codenamed BeFree.
The desktop environment uses Trolltech's Qt 4.0 toolkit and supports vector-based graphics, translucency, drop shadows and UTF-8. Mockup uses only the newest open source technologies, such as HAL the hardware abstraction layer, D-Bus the message passing interface and automatic network configuration. Core developers are writing desktop specifications based on use cases.
Mockup is available as a LiveCD to allow either testing or installation.
