Mobilitec, Inc. is a private software company headquartered in San Mateo, California. Founded in 2000, the company provides wireless carriers (like T-Mobile, Mobile ESPN, and Vodafone) with a mobile content platform that enables the end-user to download media content. The media content includes games, ringtones, wallpaper, audio and streaming video. Mobilitec’s mPower 5.0 product is the most commercially deployed mobile content platform in the industry.

In addition to the United States, Mobilitec has global offices in Haifa, Israel, Singapore, and the United Kingdom. While most of the software engineers are based in Haifa, Israel, the majority of the management team, including CEO Margaret Norton, is based in California.

Mobilitec has over 20 corporate customers, manages content for more than 300 million subscribers worldwide, and delivers over 500,000 pieces of content every day. The company aims to help its customers by maximizing content revenue, increasing operational efficiencies and improving the user experience.

In order to garner a better understanding of the end-user experience, the company launched an international research project called The Lab at Mobilitec. The Lab is comprised of 12 teenagers from 6 countries (including Egypt, India, Israel, Sweden, the US, and the UK). Throughout the course of the year, lab members complete assignments that focus on different mobile content experiences.
