[edit] Marco of Alexandria

Hello. The Marco of Alexandria page you created says the subject died in 1933, but the external link http://www.alexmarco.com/ seems to indicate he is still alive. Can you explain this apparent difference? Wondering, -- Infrogmation 20:06, 13 Feb 2005 (UTC)

Sorry for the confusion from my part I removed the content after few seconds, as it was meant for another page and I pasted it by mistake.(Mo Nadi 16:34, 16 Feb 2005 (UTC))
In Fact Marco of Alexandria died in a Train Accident in Belgium Last July.

[edit] Musician Stubs

Hi Mnadi — I'm afraid you can't just create 20 articles containing nothing more than the {{stub}} tab — there has to be some content, however minimal. I'm currently putting {{del}} tags on them, but that's not because I don't think that the articles should exist. Rather, they need to have content to exist. If you plan on putting content on them, then do so. Articles without content, though, are ano good for anyone.

Thanks! — Asbestos | Talk 22:34, 13 Feb 2005 (UTC)

Agree. It is considered bad form to start articles unless you have an absolute minimum of one full sentence explaining who the person is. Less than that may get deleted, or at least are considered a problem. Please take time looking at the Wikipedia:Manual of Style and related links. Hope this helps, -- Infrogmation 00:31, 14 Feb 2005 (UTC)
Thanks for the hint, I can see your point. Yes I am working on updating these page as my time allows, after all we are all busy professionals with other life obligations. My intention was to allow others to know these new pages are there so they can start editing them too. (Mo Nadi 16:26, 16 Feb 2005 (UTC))

Hi! Your articles should also be longer than "Born 1931."  :^) That's a speedy deletion candidate for sure. - Lucky 6.9 19:20, 16 Feb 2005 (UTC)

I've already added much more information during the past days, so no need for speedy assumptions :-) (Mo Nadi 21:53, 16 Feb 2005 (UTC))

[edit] Redirect pages

Hi. You can create redirect pages by typing #REDIRECT [[name_of_page]]. I have redirected Souad Hosni and Soad Hosny to Suad Husni. utcursch 14:45, Feb 26, 2005 (UTC)

Thanks Utcursch that was a quite usefull tip. I didn't know that. Mo Nadi 21:14, 26 Feb 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Muslim Guild

Hi, you may want to join the |Muslim Guild. freestylefrappe 20:46, 6 November 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Please stop adding that link

We had a problem with the Islam article -- the links section was growing like cancer, as dozens of Islamic websites were linking themselves. We ended up just giving a link to the dmoz directory and outlawing any but academic links. Your site should be in dmoz. We can't give special treatment to your site. If we let you list, then every other Islamic website is entitled to list too. Please respect that. Zora 11:27, 22 February 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Image Tagging Image:Bill-Morrow.jpg

Warning sign
This media may be deleted.

Thanks for uploading Image:Bill-Morrow.jpg. I notice the 'image' page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you have not created this media yourself then there needs to be an argument why we have the right to use the media on Wikipedia (see copyright tagging below). If you have not created the media yourself then it needs to be specified where it was found, i.e., in most cases link to the website where it was taken from, and the terms of use for content from that page.

If the media also doesn't have a copyright tag then one should be added. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media qualifies as fair use, consider reading fair use, and then use a tag such as {{fairusein|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair_use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other media, consider checking that you have specified their source and copyright tagged them, too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any unsourced and untagged images will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. - CrazyRussian talk/contribs/email 03:46, 28 May 2006 (UTC)

Thanks for noticing that, the image was taken from a Vodafone media and marketing kit. I've fixed the tags. Mo Nadi 22:51, 31 May 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Category:Egyptian people

Hi, I noticed you've recently added some pages to Category:Egyptian people. Would you please review my note at the top of the Category's main page and the discussion at its talk page?--Wedian 12:43, 17 June 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Hakeem (Egyptian singer)

I undestand that you created this article and have contributed most of the information. so if you don't mind, please provide references for the article. Shukran --Inahet 17:19, 24 August 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Image:Sir-Julian-Horn-Smith.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:Sir-Julian-Horn-Smith.jpg. I notice the 'image' page specifies that the image is being used under fair use, but its use in Wikipedia articles fails our first fair use criterion in that it illustrates a subject for which a freely licensed image could reasonably be found or created. If you believe this image is not replaceable, please:

  1. Go to the image description page and edit it to add {{Replaceable fair use disputed}}, without deleting the original Replaceable fair use template.
  2. On the image discussion page, write the reason why this image is not replaceable at all.

Alternatively, you can also choose to replace the fair use image by finding a freely licensed image of its subject or by taking a picture of it yourself.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified how these images fully satisfy our fair use criteria. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that any fair use images which are replaceable by free-licensed alternatives will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. --Chowbok 00:40, 10 November 2006 (UTC)
