50,000 to 100k users is a lot of users. But what are they all doing with MkLinux? If it started as a port to PowerPC, aren't there many distros that do that, and better? But if the advantage comes from being run by Minix, then the article is incomplete as it completely omits any discussion of why that might be a good thing. - I think the number comes from the MkLinux web site (which hasn't been updated in years...). The line should probably be removed, since it's likely inaccurate now and there's no cite for it.
- I think MkLinux was one of the first PowerPC Linux distributions (along with LinuxPPC). No idea why they ran it in a Mach microkernel; it would certainly be interesting if somebody with more experience in that area came and identified some of the strengths and weaknesses of the approach. --typhoon 05:58, 11 October 2006 (UTC)
