Please review the Talk:Robert Bernhardt update
--Mkamensek 19:13, 14 March 2006 (UTC)
- The new page is a lot better, and looks really good. Honestly, some parts still look copied, but just try to clean it up a little more with totally original wording. But I won't nominate it for deletion, b/c it is a vast improvement.--Esprit15d 18:42, 17 March 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Addition to Interstate Highways regarding I-64 Merging
I only included it because it has more shared sections than any other interstate (as far as I know) - This is NOT intersections (they cross), but rather shared paths. (yes, others have more intersections, but they don't actually share the same path more times than I-64). --Mkamensek 17:46, 15 March 2006 (UTC)
- The long-distance signage could be removed too, but that seems more interesting to me, as the states specifically put up these signs to mark the distance to the other end. --SPUI (talk - don't use sorted stub templates!) 00:36, 16 March 2006 (UTC)
- "Trivia about the Interstate Highway System" might be better. Or just make a trivia section in the Interstate Highway article, and add one line about how I-64 has the most (10) concurrencies. Further information can be in the I-64 article. --SPUI (talk - don't use sorted stub templates!) 00:42, 16 March 2006 (UTC)
There are no concurrencies with I-65, I-71 or I-79. --SPUI (talk - don't use sorted stub templates!) 01:21, 16 March 2006 (UTC)
There had better be! I have driven that stretch many times, and I-64, I-65, and I-79 all share signage and the same route. It might not appear so on the maps, but they do. (I-65 could be a bit iffy, though - it's all part of a junction). --Mkamensek 18:05, 23 March 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Addition of Karen Kamensek to Jacobs School of Music Alumni
Yes, she's my sister. She also has worked with Philip Glass, conducted at the Sydney Opera House, recorded at Electric Ladyland with Philip Glass. She's also had press coverage across a number of publications - including the Financial Times. Heck, Getty Images even keeps some photos of her on file (I don't even get that).
Anyhow, she's notable - Yes, I'm her brother. No, I'm not going to write an article about her on Wikipedia. I'll let someone else do that (besides, she'd kill me for that).
[edit] List of recipe websites
Is going to be nothing but spam. WP:NOT a lnk directory. I'm going to move it back to the article. --GraemeL (talk) 16:57, 28 March 2006 (UTC)
That's fine, but I think it's more likely to be spammed on the main article. Personally, I think we should remove the external links altogether unless they're to a "Recognized Authority" on cooking/recipes. What do you think? --Mkamensek 16:59, 28 March 2006 (UTC)
- Glad you agree. I try to keep on top of links in the cooking article, but feel free to go through and trim them further. --GraemeL (talk) 17:00, 28 March 2006 (UTC)
Awww...but I can't put my own sites on there??? (wink wink) - After the LeftOverChef affair, I'm not too sure about doing that again unless there's an external link list separate from the article... Go ahead and mark List of recipe websites for rapid deletion (I don't think I can do that) --Mkamensek 17:02, 28 March 2006 (UTC)
- I moved the links back and deleted the article myself. I had missed the initial discussion on the talk page, but I posted there now as well. --GraemeL (talk) 17:07, 28 March 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Request for collaboration.
Hello,
Thanks for tagging the Boy bawang entry for wikification. In the future, could you please use the {{wikify-date|April 2006}} tag in place of the {{wikify}} tag? There is an effort underway to make it easier to sort through articles that may require wikification, and using the suggested tag would be very helpful.
Your assistance with this effort will be greatly appreciated.
Cheers. Folajimi 03:07, 2 April 2006 (UTC)
No Prob. Thx.
[edit] Honda_Masashige
In this edit you added the wikify tag... just curious... why do you think it's not wikified? gren グレン 03:13, 2 April 2006 (UTC)
Crap, meant to use {{cleanup}}...Mainly red links...
Sorry about that...removed and changed. I'll try to get back to it later...tailing a vandal right now... -- Mkamensek (talk) -The LeftOverChef 03:15, 2 April 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Indigenous People's Council on Biocolonialism
Hi, can you explain where this information was previously posted? Thanks. User:Zoe|(talk) 02:04, 3 April 2006 (UTC)
Sorry...Wrong code. Deleted once today, I believe. -- Mkamensek (talk) -The LeftOverChef 02:05, 3 April 2006 (UTC)
- Not under that name, according to its history. That's what I was trying to find out. User:Zoe|(talk) 02:27, 3 April 2006 (UTC)
Check the delete log - I saw at least 2 entries... could be wrong though... -- Mkamensek (talk) -The LeftOverChef 02:40, 3 April 2006 (UTC)

Looks like it's gone in any case...
[edit] Yugoslav Wars
You couldn't think of Chetnik? Seriously, you should reconsider contributing to this article then ;) But thank you for your efforts, a neutral stance is sorely needed, since everything i may have to say is interpreted as "nationalist" by Bormalagurski... Furthest thing from the truth, but he has his mind set obviously. Please, keep an eye on the article and jump in as needed. Thanks. --Dr.Gonzo 03:33, 3 April 2006 (UTC)

[edit] New Page Patrol : Cara Walker
I've slapped a hang-on on the Cara Walker page you db-bioed. From the actual page it's a fictional character, and hence db-bio is probably not appropriate :)
D'oh! Sorry about that...I sometimes get a bit quick on the dbs... -- Mkamensek (talk) -The LeftOverChef 13:31, 3 April 2006 (UTC)
Race you to the next one .... --Blowdart 13:35, 3 April 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Stubs, categories and Palestine
Hi. Can you clue me in on the scheme for stub and category tags relating to Palestine, State of Palestine, region of Palestine, Palestinian Arabs, etc.? I made a stub article tagged {{politics stub}}, and you changed the stub but I tried to "correct" your correction. Feel free to undo the mess I made!
Cheers and good will, Uncle Ed 14:20, 3 April 2006 (UTC)
I'm not completely sure of the scheme, but you can check the full list at: Stub categories.
[edit] Re: Vandal war
I cannot do that as I am not an admin. I think you will get response from some admin soon as you have put the vandal's name at AIV. If the vandalism continues, contact me. I will try and contact someone. - Aksi_great 15:50, 3 April 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Re - AfD Help
Hi Mkamensek, don't let the AfD nomination process stress you out to much. Mistakes happen or steps missed it is just part of being human. I find it easiest to follow the guide half way down the page Wikipedia:Articles for deletion. All the best. --blue520 16:18, 4 April 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Thanks
Thanks for supporting me in my RfA. I really didn't think people appreciate my work here that much, but it's nice to see you do: my Request was closed with 66 supports and 4 opposes. I'll do my best not to turn your confidence down. If in any point in the future you get the feeling I'm doing something wrong, do not hesitate to drop me a line. --Dijxtra 11:50, 13 April 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Robot
See talk on robot. Slovak is my mother tongue and I speak as well Czech. Is one of these languages your mother tongue? You can believe me that my correction is right.
You were right. I have had a look in dictionary and verb "robotovat" really exists and means to do corvée. Sorry, but I have never heart this word, it is just archaic. Therefore claim that it is derived from "robotovat" is acceptable and I have changed it again to old version. (although it is more probable that Capek derived it really from noun "robota" connected with verb "robiť" and not "robotovat")
[edit] Your sig
I'd like to ask you to adjust your sig so that it doesn't have a link to your external website - having an external link appear on so many pages does, technically, count as linkspam. Allowing it, even on the part of a good contributor - and I've read through your edits, you're a genuine contributor who does sincerely want to help - would set a bad precedent. A link to your userpage, and having that link to your external site - that's fine. But please, adjust your sig. Thank you. DS 13:24, 10 May 2006 (UTC)

[edit] {{User phikap}}
Per terms of Wikipedia:Fair use criteria item #9, you are not permitted to use Image:Pktcrest.jpg in template space or userspace. Placing that image on the user box, and from there on to your userpage is a violation of Wikipedia policy as noted above. In particular, the policy says "All other uses, even if legal under the fair use clauses of copyright law, should be avoided". Do not reinstate that image, even if in your opinion such use meets terms of fair use law. If you have any questions about this, I'd be happy to answer. Thanks, --Durin 22:53, 30 June 2006 (UTC)
- It says they should be avoided, not prohibited. Knowing that I have the right to use the image in such a fashion, I should be allowed to include it in the template. What do I need to do to get the image allowed? -- Mkamensek (talk) - The LeftOverChef 21:47, 3 July 2006 (UTC)
-
- Nothing. Not meaning to be rude, but the policy is clear. To quote the policy, "They should never be used on templates (including stub templates and navigation boxes) or on user pages". The use you are attempting is in template space, for use in userspace. This is clearly proscribed by the policy. You may not use it. I am removing it, again. Please do not re-add the image. We have literally tens of thousands of these attempts at using fair use images in potentially improper (by law) ways across all of Wikipedia. I myself have removed approximately a thousand of these violations. The policy at Wikipedia:Fair use criteria was written to a standard that allows a default case that is clear and easy to understand; no fair use is allowed outside of the main article namespace. If we allowed fair use under special circumstances per use, we'd have a nightmare situation with regards to maintaining appropriate copyright law adherence. The situation would be completely untenable. With the policy as it is, we have something that is easy to understand and follow, while still allowing us to use such images for the fair use purpose they are intended for; improving the encyclopedia. That is, afterall, what we are here to do - not write userboxes. Thanks, --Durin 23:38, 3 July 2006 (UTC)

[edit] substituting templates
G'day. I noticed this warning notice you placed on an IP talk page after vandalism ages ago. Please remember to substitute templates so that they read {{subst:test2|PageName}} ~~~~ instead of {{test2|PageName}} ~~~~ Cheers and happy editing! Jpe|ob 07:26, 10 November 2006 (UTC)
