Mk 13 missile launcher is a single-arm missile launcher with a 40 round magazine that is capable of firing the SM-1MR at the rate of 1 every 10 seconds (load every 7 1/2 seconds). Its magazine consists of two concentric rings storing 24 missiles (vertically stored) in the outer ring and 16 in the inner ring. In case of a fire it has magazine sprinkling, CO2 suppression and booster suppression. Fire control for the Mk 13 missile system is provided by the MK92 fire control system (USN). The system is also capable of RGM-84 Harpoon and Standard missile launches. Found on Oliver Hazard Perry class frigates (and derivatives) and Cassard class frigates.

Because of its distinctive single-armed design, the Mk 13 is often referred to as the "One-Armed Bandit."
