Mizérable (single) (1999) |
Mizérable is the title of Japanese rocker/singer Gackt's first single and mini-album. It was released in 1999. Mizérable was released after Gackt left MALICE MIZER and continues in somewhat of the same vein of fanciful, gothic-sounding music, albeit more minimal in presentation; there are no harpsichords, howling winds or other such devices present. Two months after Mizérable Ver.2/3 mini-album was first released, the song was released again in the form of a single. The song "Story" was re-released with new Japanese lyrics on the 再会~Story~ single.
[edit] Track listing
- "Mizérable" – 4:57
- "Story" – 5:39
- "Leeca" – 5:38
- "Lapis ~Prologue~" – 4:02
- Although the artwork for Mizérable on some editions says "Leeca ~Prologue~", Gackt's site as well as the artwork of other editions list "Lapis" as "Lapis ~Prologue~" which seems to be correct.
- Another point of interest is the session drummer for this EP. As listed in the booklet, it is none other than Matt Sorum, former member of Guns N' Roses and current drummer of Velvet Revolver.
