Miyama, Fukui

This article is about the former town in Fukui Prefecture, Japan. There is a town with same name in Kyoto Prefecture, see Miyama, Kyoto, and there was another town named Miyama in Gifu Prefecture which merged into the city of Yamagata.
Miyama (美山町; -chou) was a town located in Asuwa District, Fukui Prefecture, Japan.
As of 2003, the town had an estimated population of 5,044 and a density of 36.62 persons per km². The total area was 137.73 km².

On February 1, 2006 the town of Miyama merged into the city of Fukui.
