Mix 96 is the Independent Local Radio station for the town of Aylesbury in Buckinghamshire, United Kingdom. First airing in 1994 it was the first radio station to gain a permanent licence to broadcast from Aylesbury, previous local broadcasts emanating from Fox FM (that broadcasts from Oxfordshire) and Chiltern Radio (that broadcasts from Bedfordshire). As such it is considered by many to be the main radio station for the Aylesbury area. The launch slogan was 'Bucks Best Music' but the station now uses the strapline "Your Town, Your Station".

Originally an independent, it was solely owned by local group Bucks Broadcasting Ltd. The original Chairman of Mix 96 was Richard Morris-Adams, MD was Mark Flanagan, PC was Keri Jones and Sales Director Erika Sorby-Firth. The group expanded to investments in a number of stations up and down the UK including FM 102 The Bear, in Stratford-upon-Avon, 107.7 The Wolf in Wolverhampton, Arrow FM in Hastings, Centre FM in Staffordshire and Surf 107 in Brighton. However when Fox FM increased their shareholding in Bucks Broadcasting, and were themselves wholly acquired by Capital Radio plc, the station technically fell into the ownership of Capital, who later disposed all assets to Radio Investments (later known as The Local Radio Company).

Its playlist, although contemporary, tends to lean towards older songs than current bestsellers. Current presenters include Nathan Cooper, Fiona Faulkner and Penny Harper. The station now uses TLRC networked programmes alongside locally generated material.

At one time Mix 96 employed Jon Bithrey, now a presenter for BBC Radio Jersey.
