[edit] Music Director: 2002-2006

Mitz became the Music Director for CKUL (later to be re-established as CKXU-FM) in the fall of 2002. He quickly became a well known radio personality with one of the most recognizable voices (or accents) in Lethbridge. He was responsible for many different radio shows, such as Donkey a Go Go, Mitz in the Bucket, Mitz on the Rocket, Mitz with a Ticket to Ride Donkeyz, and Funky Donkey. His obsession with both soccer and "donkeyz" later evolved into the creation of Donkeyz soccer, a soccer team playing at the University of Lethbridge with teammates consisting of other volunteers from CKXU.

Mitz also became a celebrity outside of Lethbridge and among other campus radio stations and was asked to do many interviews [1], as well as quoted by the BBC [2]. He was awarded the title of Most Flirtatious Music Director by CMJ [3].

[edit] Soy Captain: 2006

Mitz started the band Soy Captain with Emily Deimert. With the release of their EP Merci Poo Poo, they charted on campus stations such as CJSF-FM, CFUV-FM and CKXU-FM.
