Mitsugi, Hiroshima

Mitsugi (御調町; -cho) is a town located in Mitsugi District, Hiroshima, Japan.
As of 2004, the town has an estimated population of 8,144 and the density of 98.14 persons per km². The total area is 82.98 km².
Mitsugi is divided into seven areas : Kamikawabe (上川辺), Ichi (市), Kawachi (河内), Imatsuno (今津野), Ayame (綾目), Yamato (大和), and Sugano (菅野). Points of interest in the town include : The Bus Station (道の駅), The Children's Library (子ども図書館すくすく), and the Entsuba Memorial Museum (圓鍔記念館). The town's special product is dried persimmons (干し柿).
There are currently plans for the town to be annexed by nearby Onomichi (尾道市) in the near future.
The town was found on February 1, 1955.
