Mitchell Cole (born 6 October 1985) is an English professional footballer currently playing for Stevenage Borough, signing for the 'Boro in January 2007 from Southend United FC.
Cole joined Southend United in 2005 after helping Grays Athletic earn promotion to the Conference League.
The former West Ham trainee signed for an undisclosed fee after double success at Grays, which saw him play a key role in the club winning both the Conference South title and the FA Trophy.
An exciting and tricky left winger, Cole was much sought after by a number of clubs before the youngster joined the Blues. Despite an inconsistent season in 2005/06, fans saw enough of Cole to realise he is a talent worth being patient for and many are expecting big things of him in the Championship.
After becoming frustrated with the lack of first-team appearances at the beginning of Southend United's 2006/2007 Championship campaign, Cole was loaned out to Northampton Town for a month.
After returning to Southend after his loan spell, Cole found it increasingly hard to break into the first team, making only 4 appearances in the league. This lead to Mitchell joining Conference side Stevenage Borough for a five-figure fee.
Cole is not a relation to Chelsea's Joe Cole, but Mitchell's girlfriend is Joe's sister.
