The result of the debate was Keep. Sandboxes are mostly harmless, and objectionable content can be blanked by anyone. Xoloz 13:54, 4 September 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Wikipedia:Sandbox/Storytelling
All very nice but really needs to be cleared out as it's (a) got drogatory references to Jimbo Wales and (b) run long past the sell-by date implied by the Sandbox location. Just zis Guy you know? 22:02, 31 August 2006 (UTC)
Keep I think you should clean it up but by no means delete it. Wikipedia would just not be the same without just a little humor to balance out the overwhelming seriousness. Ruff Bark away! 03:53, 1 September 2006 (UTC)

- I'm all for humor (and indeed humor), but most of this is strictly amateurish storytelling - when did we become Myspace? Just zis Guy you know? 16:03, 1 September 2006 (UTC)

- We didn't, but maybe what you consider to be amateurish isn't amateurish to someone else. QuizQuick 04:48, 2 September 2006 (UTC)

- Keep Wikipedia needs a place for the users to express themselves freely and uninhibited. At most the page should have a heading explaning that it is not to be taken seriously. Clamping down on humour will only make users feel constricted in a stuffy environment. Think outside the box 16:29, 2 September 2006 (UTC)
- For the sake of convenience, reboot the rest still there and start anew with a more-or-less blank page with the beginning stating the page's purpose and how contributions should be structured. DrWho42 23:56, 2 September 2006 (UTC)
- How do you know the new stories will be any better? QuizQuick 04:53, 3 September 2006 (UTC)
- I don't although I'm wondering how long this "article" will become. Aside from that, I think there should be that beginning sentence stating the purpose of the page (obvious, I know, just something short) and how contributions are done (for instance, are they written by one user or is it a collaboration? Prolly either, but it doesn't seem to say). DrWho42 05:08, 3 September 2006 (UTC)
- There was a set of instructions to begin with, but someone deleted them so I readded it. QuizQuick 13:44, 3 September 2006 (UTC)

- Delete. Fun stuff for a blog, not for Wikipedia. GMcGath 14:01, 3 September 2006 (UTC)
