The result of the debate was Keep but limit to not be used in Main: namespace. — xaosflux Talk 20:11, 25 March 2007 (UTC)
[edit] User:Jnc/TooManyBoxes
Just came across this; people are actually using this in the namespace: [1]. It's nice and funny, but at very least it should be tagged as a joke, or something; if it's a maintenance box, and it's not appopriate to go in the template space, it's not appropriate here either. - Keep. Doesn't seem to be a violation of any of the rules about userspace. If people are misusing it in articles, that's something that should be taken up with them. -Hit bull, win steak(Moo!) 18:38, 19 March 2007 (UTC)
- Keep. MfD is not cleanup, and all that. If it should be tagged as a joke, tag it as a joke. I strictly disagree with you on a fundamental level about destroying unobtrusive humorous things because they're "inappropriate," but there's no point in going into that further. --Kizor 00:10, 20 March 2007 (UTC)
- Keep per Hit bull, win steak. ~ UBeR 00:13, 20 March 2007 (UTC)
- Keep and remove from article space. Baaad template. But good joke. -Amarkov moo! 01:25, 20 March 2007 (UTC)
- Keep remove from namespace and mark as a joke, but there is no reason not to keep. Just because people use things inappropriately isn't a reason to get rid of it. Koweja 20:03, 20 March 2007 (UTC)
- Keep. I'm not sure of the history of this particular user subpage, but appears to be a recreation of BJAODNed content in User: space (the edit summary says it's to "Save a classic"), and not just any BJAODNed content, it's the most informative mock cleanup template too and still just as funny as ever; however, since it's in User: namespace, it's pretty much harmless. Using anything from User: as a template in main space is something that should be cautioned against in general, though. --wwwwolf (barks/growls) 23:45, 20 March 2007 (UTC)
- Keep providing that it stays out of mainspace. Ral315 » 20:03, 21 March 2007 (UTC)
- Keep, provided that it remains only on user pages etc. Not on mainspace! Booksworm Talk to me! 20:54, 21 March 2007 (UTC)
- Keep - makes a good point in a non-disruptive way, and witty. I wouldn't mind having this in the template namespace, actually... assuming it had a humor tag, just in case anyone might think that it was meant to be taken seriously. GracenotesT § 03:24, 22 March 2007 (UTC)
- Keep. I've just modified it so that it can't be used in article space without a warning. --ais523 17:29, 22 March 2007 (UTC)
- Speedy Keep It does not violate any policies or guidlines. --James, La gloria è a dio 02:38, 25 March 2007 (UTC)
