[edit] Editing comments of others
I have reverted your recent edit of my comment on the Battlestar Galactica talk page. Please don't edit the comments of other Wikipedians. In this particular case, the link in my comment was supposed to point to the generic Gaelic page to indicate that no specific Gaelic was being referred to, and your edit changed the meaning of my comment. -- Scjessey 18:47, 19 June 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Kind of like football
You changed my buffalo into an American Bison! When people say and think buffalo around here they actually think of the African kind. And I'm vain enough to change it back. Bufflo 08:16, 22 June 2006 (UTC)
[edit] WikiProject Disambiguation Talk Request
This is a form message being sent to all WikiProject Disambiguation participants. I recently left a proposed banner idea on the WikiProject Disambiguation talk page and I would appreciate any input you could provide. Before it can be approved or denied, I would prefer a lot of feedback from multiple participants in the project. So if you have the time please join in the discussion to help improve the WikiProject. Keep up the good work in link repair and thanks for your time. Nehrams2020 21:35, 9 October 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Speedy Deletes
If you see an article you think is for speedy deletion, be bold, put it out there just make sure you try to back it up. WP:SPEEDY is a link I go to alot to make sure I am nominating articles for speedy. Otherwise, they may just stagnate on the page and nothing will ever happen. Keep up the great wikipediaing. If you need help with anything, let me know! Chrislk02 (Chris Kreider) 20:07, 14 November 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Undoing speedy delete?
You put a note on my Talk page about a speedy delete tagging of Susanne Lewis, but the page was gone before I saw that note. I would absolutely argue for the notability of Susanne Lewis and feel her notability was apparent from the article content. What do I do now? Is there anyway of retrieving the article text to re-start the article? Bondegezou 14:32, 15 November 2006 (UTC)
- To expand on my comments above, Lewis meets WP:MUSIC notability criteria 4 and 5, probably 6 and maybe 3. The article content, as far as I remember it, had sufficient detail that 4 should have been apparent, at least to the extent that a speedy delete should not have been used. Bondegezou 14:48, 15 November 2006 (UTC)
[edit] steve.museum
Missvain, you did a speedy delete on the steve.museum page, "Speedy Delete per CSD G4 Missvain 05:30, 17 November 2006 (UTC)." The reason why I had so many deletions in the past is because this is the first page I ever made. The first four versions only had four sentences. They kept being deleted until someone told me to create the page somewhere else first, and then post. Which is what I did. But because of the history of multiple deletions no one looked at the page closely enough this time. Can you look again and see if you really want to delete it? This is not a website I am affiliated with, it's not advertising. steve.museum is something a lot of people I work with are talking about. Please reconsider. Thanks, --Sils660
- I appreciate your concern, however, the website is NON-NOTABLE. It is not notable at this point in time. Until sources are more readily available and the company becomes notable, then it can be added in a proper wikipedia manner. Someone planted the seed for deletion, on A:FD, I noticed the lack of notability and posted the speedy delete. Someone took a look, agreed, and deleted it. I did not delete it. Regardless, I study museum studies and I am a history major, even though I am not familiar with it, most of my colleagues are not at this point, and this region. However, when it becomes more notable, please add it! Feel free to take a look at WP:NOTABLE Missvain 15:39, 17 November 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Digital Opportunity Index (DOI) AfD
The "non-notable business" that you thought was behind the Digital Opportunity Index (DOI) article turns out to be the International Telecommunications Union, an agency of the UN, which is both notable and not a business. I've rewritten the article to make this more clear, and I've added information about the index to the ITU article, and I'm suggesting merge or keep. I invite you to reconsider your vote. cheers --Xtifr tälk 11:27, 17 November 2006 (UTC)
[edit] steve.museum
we need to do a deletion review on the recent speedy of steve museum. the content is clearly notable in the field of museum studies, museum informatices and museology. we should invite people who actually are familiar with steve.museum to comment. it has made quite a splash in those fields. --Buridan 12:28, 17 November 2006 (UTC)

- I see your concern, but, this is not a notable business/website at this point. Perhaps when notability forms, or better sources are found steve.museum can be added to Wiki. Any concerns I would bring it up on AF:D also Missvain 15:35, 17 November 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Speedy deletion tags
I removed your speedy deletion tag on Larry Damore, as the context is very clear. I also removed another one on Long Shot Hero, where A7 didn't apply because the article clearly talked about touring, releasing actual CDs, et cetera, definitely claiming significance or importance (note that A7 and guidelines like WP:MUSIC aren't the same thing). I just wanted to direct you to WP:CSD where you can read more about the specific criteria in depth: I think you've been a little confused so far. Mangojuicetalk 18:47, 17 November 2006 (UTC)

An article that you have been involved in editing, Across Indiana, has been listed at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Across Indiana. [edit] Northern Beaches Christian School
Why did you delete this article, and why do you believe it was intended to promote a company, product, or service? I don't even remember creating it, and I certainly wouldn't have intended to promote the School. I have no association with the school, and can only guess that I might have created the page to fill out a link on another article. -Dalziel 86 01:54, 18 January 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Orphaned fair use image (Image:Tbatbh.jpg)
Thanks for uploading Image:Tbatbh.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable under fair use (see our fair use policy).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you.
