[edit] Gordon quote
I thought it was someone named Gordon, but I couldn't find the quote. Thanks for finding it. By the way, uou might be interested in this VfD: Wikipedia:Votes for deletion/Religious persecution by Jews. Jayjg (talk) 16:59, 20 July 2005 (UTC)
Thanks. How do I actually vote for deletion? Is it as simple as adding an edit to that page with my name and position?
While we're at it, how can I PM other members?
Mississippifred
- You just vote the way everyone else did, add your vote and sign with four tildes ~~~~ . What do you mean by PM? Jayjg (talk) 20:42, 27 July 2005 (UTC)
[edit] Copyright Violation
Hi, I spotted your article on Nahum Sarna through the RC patrol bot; a search for a large chunk of the text shows it's been copied-and-pasted from somewhere else. Following procedure, I've copyvio'd it. If I've misunderstood, feel free to pop the article back on the temporary page. Any probs, drop something on my Talk page.
Incidentally, "PM" is done by adding a section on users' talk pages, at least, that's how most people do it. Like I've done here; you get a new message notification. Rob Church 22:57, 2 August 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Rejection of Tanakh
Hi Mississippi: Please see and vote at Wikipedia:Categories for deletion/Log/2005 December 12#Category:Hebrew Bible at[1] where it is beeing suggested that the word "Tanakh" is "not neutral", and I am trying to explain to them that it is in keeping with NPOV to convey the way Judaism uses certain terms to describe the Hebrew Bible/Tanakh. Thanks. IZAK 18:29, 13 December 2005 (UTC)
[edit] New vote for Tanakh moved
You can find the NEW vote to rename Category:Hebrew Bible/Tanakh --> Category:Tanakh etc. now located at Wikipedia:Categories for deletion#Hebrew Bible/Tanakh [2] Thanks again. IZAK 18:30, 14 December 2005 (UTC)
[edit] Image Tagging Image:Ccaim.jpg
|
Thanks for uploading Image:Ccaim.jpg. I notice the 'image' page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is therefore unclear. If you have not created this media yourself then you need to argue that we have the right to use the media on Wikipedia (see copyright tagging below). If you have not created the media yourself then you should also specify where you found it, i.e., in most cases link to the website where you got it, and the terms of use for content from that page.
If the media also doesn't have a copyright tag then you must also add one. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then you can use {{GFDL-self}} to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media qualifies as fair use, please read fair use, and then use a tag such as {{fairusein|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair_use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.
If you have uploaded other media, please check that you have specified their source and copyright tagged them, too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any unsourced and untagged images will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Shyam (T/C) 14:44, 3 March 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Orthodox Rabbinical Biography Collaboration of the Week
Hi Mississippifred, I've created an Orthodox Rabbinical Biography Collaboration of the Week. I'd love to see your comments, improvements, amendations and nominations, preferably all on the discussion or the actual page there. Many thanks, Nesher 14:11, 14 May 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Your vote
Hi, you expressed your view in opposition but did not type in the word Delete at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Yehuda Kolko, best wishes, IZAK 09:39, 24 May 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Your contact info
Hi Mississippifred: You have not enabled your Wikipedia Email feature in your "my preferences" at the top of your user page. Sometimes editors overlook that when it's a useful way of staying in touch with other editors. Best wishes. IZAK 18:37, 27 November 2006 (UTC)
[edit] License tagging for Image:Wesselynh.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:Wesselynh.jpg. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.
For more information on using images, see the following pages:
This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you need help on selecting a tag to use, or in adding the tag to the image description, feel free to post a message at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 06:14, 12 December 2006 (UTC)
