Mister International 2001 was held in Udaipur, India. Alexander Aquino, 30, of the Philippines was chosen and crowned as the first Filipino to win Grasim Mr. International 2001 title on Dec. 15, 2001. Anibal Martignani of Venezuela was the first runner-up, and won the Best Smile award. Leroy Vissers of Holland was the second runner-up. The Best National Costume award went to Cuba's Benjamin Garcia, and the Best Talent award to Abdelsamad Chrifi of Morocco.
