Route 88 was a highway located entirely within the city limits of Springfield. Its eastern terminus was at Glenstone Avenue (U.S. Route 65/Business Loop I-44) and its western terminus was at Sunshine Street (U.S. Route 60). It was a collection of older highways (mainly business routes) which were still under state maintenance.
