Missionaries of the Precious Blood

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Missionaries of the Precious Blood are a Roman Catholic religious order for men, founded by Saint Gaspar del Bufalo in 1815. The Missionaries of the Precious Blood is a shortened English translation of the Latin Congregatio Missionariorum Pretiosissimi Sanguinis Domini Nostri Jesus Christi, [The Congregation of Missioners of the Most Precious Blood of Our Lord Jesus Christ].

They use the post-nominal initials C.PP.S. after their names. They are classified as a Society of Apostolic Life in the Catholic Church because its members do not take vows, but instead make promises to follow the evangelical counsels (poverty, chastity and obedience).
