[edit] Summary

The episode begins in Nowhere. Courage retrieves the mail and takes it to Muriel, who finds a letter offering her and the family a timeshare, if they do some mysterious task first. The episode shifts to a rocket traveling through space, with the family sleeping in three pea-shaped pods. Deep within the ship, an alarm sounds and the pods open up. Muriel and Courage get out, and Eustace's pod throws him out when he refuses to wake up. The three head to the ship's cockpit, and find a message from The General. After he mumbles for a while about the mission, leaving the Bagges extremely confused, The Computer (who was transferred aboard the rocket to assist them during the mission) explains that the sun is about to fizzle out, and the US Government is sending them to save it, in exchange for their timeshare. After The Computer elaborates on the mission, Courage and his family begin finding ways to pass the time before the ship reaches the sun (how much time is left until arrival is shown on a clock in the cockpit of the rocket). Courage tries to learn about the rocket's different electronic systems with the "help" of the computer (As Courage tries to learn about the rocket, The Computer begins offering him advice on which buttons to press to learn how the rocket operates, which really cause Courage different forms of embarrassment). Meanwhile, Muriel is cleaning the rocket up, while Eustace contends with the ship's confusing toilet. While attempting to use the toilet, Eustace accidentally drops his hat in it, and the hat becomes stuck outside the ship. Meanwhile, outside the rocket, a tiny alien drifts past, and cuts a hole in the ship. It enters the ship and finds Muriel waxing one of the ship's components. It flies up to Muriel and uses a tiny drill to puncture Muriel's suit (Muriel mistakes the drill's poke for Eustace's finger, assuming that he was affectionately slapping her behind, and slaps him in the face). The alien pulls out a hair on the outside of Muriel's body, and flies inside the hole left when it removed it. The scene shifts to the ship's galley, where the family meets for a dinner of what Eustace calls "Tube Food" (Meals such as turkey and potatoes mashed and stuffed into tubes for travel and easy eating). Inside Muriel, the alien reaches her brain and begins experimenting with the panels and levers attached to it. Muriel begins acting weird, shouting nonsensical gibberish (i.e. "Wikiwiki!"), and doing odd things, such as eating part of the galley's table. She then says that she could use a nap and walks back to her room...On the ceiling. Courage, concerned about Muriel's odd behavior, asks The Computer for advice, but it rebukes him ("Of course Muriel is acting weird. She's trapped in a tin can with you isn't she?"). Meanwhile, the tiny alien begins experimenting with the lever attached to Muriel's brain...And breaks it. Muriel becomes extremely irate, and walks towards a tube in her room. The tube contains wires, which power The Computer and pulls them out. Meanwhile, in the cockpit, The Computer claims it's figured out what's wrong with Muriel and is about to tell Courage how to save her and the sun...When he loses power. Courage panics and pulls a panel off The Computer. He crawls inside and follows the tangle of wires within to Muriel's room, and sees that something is dearly amiss with her. Her skin has turned a pale green, and she is eating the power cords. Courage follows her around the ship, and watches as she destroys the ship's components, laughing in a nasally voice nothing like her regular one. Meanwhile, outside the ship, Eustace tries to get his hat...But falls off the ship and sails off into space. Inside, Muriel marches towards Courage. The tiny alien inside of Muriel speaks through her, and tells Courage that it has traveled a great distance to sabotage the mission to save the sun, claiming that it has grown tired of humans interfering with space, saying that if the sun wants to fizzle out, it should. A horrified Courage leaps onto Muriel's head and sees the alien parasite. He begins trying desperately to yank the tiny saboteur out of Muriel's brain. However, the alien forces Muriel to turn off the gravity in the ship. Courage, caught flat footed by the alien's manuver, is sent flying across the ship by a kick delivered by the alien. Courage then resorts to using a plunger to try and get the alien out, but it once again sends him flying. It tries to take the plunger off Muriel's head, and when it rips it off, the force sends Muriel flying into the toilet. The toilet malfunctions and activates, sucking the alien out, and sending it flying off into space. Courage rips Muriel out of the toilet, and sees that she's back to normal. Meanwhile, the ship lands on the sun, and Courage runs out with a suitcase, which contains what he will need to re-ignite the sun. He runs into the sun's core, and pulls a light bulb out of the suitcase. He takes out the light bulb already at the sun's core, and after a moment when everything is plunged into darkness, manages to replace it. The sun flares, saving the Earth and the solar system from being plunged into darkness. However, Courage and the recently freed Muriel must now escape from the sun's burning surface. Ironically enough, Eustace coms flying by on an asteroid. Courage uses an anchor concealed in his space suit to connect to the asteroid, and redirects it away from the sun. "Did you fix the sun Courage?" Muriel asks, and Courage nods. The scene shifts to Mars, the site of the Bagge's "timeshare." Muriel comments on how it was nice of The General to send them their house. Suddenly, Eustace begins acting odd, screaming nonsensical gibberish. Muriel and Courage both seem to realize what's wrong. The scene shifts to the interior of Eustace's head...with the tiny alien parasite inside, manipulating Eustace's brain. The episode ends with the tiny alien saying "I have not yet begun to fight!"

[edit] Trivia

  • The alien's comment at the end of the episode is similar to a comment made in another episode, where Muriel is put under alien mind-control (In the episode The Duck Brothers, one of the aliens say "We have not yet begun to fight!")
