Miss Intercontinental

Miss Intercontinental began in 1971 but it started officially as the Miss Teenage Intercontinental beauty pageant in 1973. The pageant was organized by Rene Lacle.

..........It was started as the Miss Teenage Intercontinental in 1973 in Oranjestad, Aruba.
..........Its name was changed to Miss Teen Intercontinental in 1979.
..........Its name was changed to Miss Intercontinental in 1982.
..........It was discontinued in 1984.

4. Nigeria Version (1986 & 1988-1991)
..........It was started in 1986 in Lagos, Nigeria.
..........It was done in 1987 but title was announced for 1988.
..........In 1989 winner from Nigeria resigned and title awarded to first runner-up from Dominican Rep.
..........In 1991, there were two contests: by Nigerian and Aruban organizers.
..........It was discontinued in 1992.
5. Aruba New Version (1991-1992)
..........It was started in 1991 in Bonn Germany by Aruban organizers.
..........It was continued until 1992, when it began to be produced by German organizers.
