Miss Grand National

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Miss Grand National is the pageant queen for the Grand National Rodeo, Horse and Stock Show at the Cow Palace in San Francisco.

Miss Grand National, unlike most pageant queens, is not merely decorative. She is a rider and rodeo competitor herself. The 2006 Miss Grand National, Dayna Iverson, is in the top ten statewide in Poles, Breakaway Roping, and Goat Tying, and won All Around Junior Cowgirl at the Livermore rodeo. During rodeo events, she'll usually be in the arena, mounted on a Quarter Horse, ready to herd loose horses and cattle out of the arena.
