Miss Bondi
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Miss Bondi is an annual competition held in Australia's most famous beach, Bondi Beach. Started in the early 70's, the prize was a trip for two to Hong Kong. Contestants would have to undertake various modelling tasks, as well as demonstrate an ability to hold a conversation with the Master of Ceremonies.
Amid controversy over beauty pageants in the 80's, the competition was toned down, but recent years has seen a dramatic resurgence in popularity. Winners now are bestowed not only with a generous cash prize, but many opportunities to further their modelling careers.
Miss Bondi 2006 is Stephanie Dey.
