Misha Glenny

Misha Glenny (born 1958) is a British journalist and specialist on Eastern and Southeastern Europe and international organised crime. He was formerly a correspondent for the BBC, and is the author of The Rebirth of History: Eastern Europe in the Age of Democracy (1990), The Fall of Yugoslavia (1992), and The Balkans: Nationalism, War and the Great Powers, 1804-1999 (1999). In 1993 he won a Sony Award for his coverage of the break-up of Yugoslavia for the BBC World Service. He is the son of the academic Michael Glenny.
