Misano

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Misano is a town located off the eastern coast of Italy, on the Adriatic Sea. The town is a seaside town with a few resorts. The main attraction of the town is the Misano racetrack- this is the track Lisa and Mike visited after the Mugello MotoGP round. This racetrack is where the famous MotoGP and World Superbike racing occurs, known as the Misano round. The 2007 Motogp Champianship arrives in Misano on Sept. 2nd for round 13. Five time Motogp World Champ Valentino Rossi will call Misano his "home race" this year. Valentino was born near Misano in Urbino, Italy. He grew up in this area, so if you are planing a trip there in early September, expect a madhouse. Mugello, round 6, is usually the only Italian stop on the yearly Motogp circuit. Italians love their motorcycle racing. So much so, that their beloved Motogp hero had to move from Italy to London, just so he could go outside without being mobbed. Tickets for the 2007 San Marino Grand Prix at Misano are going fast at 87.00 to 200.00 EUR ea. http://www.gpticketshop.com/index.php?l=en&c=motogp&e=128&sub_cat=inf
