Hi, my name is Andrew Daft. I'm a college student currently attending the University of Wisconsin-Madison. I'm working toward a Bachelor of Arts, with majors in history and Scandinavian studies and a minor in European studies. My historical interests focus mainly on Europe, especially the history of the Roman Catholic Church and Catholic countries.
Here on Wikipedia, I prefer to make small edits, and I often make those behind the scenes. You could call me a WikiGnome. Admittedly, most of my edits have been because of my involvement with the userbox migration, although I also did work maintaining articles dealing with Charmed. I'm not the most active user, mostly because I have more fun reading than writing.
As for my language skills, my Danish is better than my German (and improving rapidly). I'm not really confident enough to write in either, but I could translate an article with the help of a dictionary. My Norwegian and Swedish skills are limited to understanding only, not writing. Thank you, mutual intelligibility!
I used to maintain a second user account, Shayl, in order to filter out my userbox edits, which were hiding my "real" edits. You can view my current edit count here or here. My brother also occasionally edits Wikipedia as TheDaftman. I recently changed my name from MiraLuka to Mira, as the name Mira is what I prefer to use on websites, when it's available.
