Miroslav Ouzký

Miroslav Ouzký (born August 18, 1958 in Chlumec nad Cidlinou) is a Czech Member of the European Parliament. He was elected on the Civic Democratic Party ticket and sits with the European People's Party group.

He studied medicine at university in Prague. Worked as surgeon and director in hospital in Kadaň. Served in city council, since 1998 member of Czech Parliament, since 2004 member of European Parliament. On July 20, 2004 he was elected one of the 14 Vice-Presidents of the European Parliament. In February 2007, he became the chair of the environmental committee of the Parliament, succeeding Karl-Heinz Florenz.
He is married, has son and daughter.
