Brigadier General Miri Regev (b. 1965) is the Israel Defense Forces current IDF Spokesperson.

Regev was born in Kiryat Gat and enlisted at 18 into the IDF. Her first duties in the early 1980s were in the Gadna, special youth battalions that were tasked with helping youth. In 1986, she began serving as the Spokesperson's representative of the Israeli Southern Command. She continued advancing in the public relations ranks, and was promoted to Deputy IDF Spokesperson in 2002.

In 2004, she was selected to be the Chief Press and Media Censor, an independent position which is not subordinate to the chain of command or the executive branch. She attained her most recent post as IDF Spokesperson in June 2005. Regev, whose English is not fluent, has centered much of her energy toward domestic media. As such, attention to international media has suffered, with Regev providing very few interviews with international media outlets.
