Mirandela (pron. IPA: [miɾɐ̃'dɛlɐ]) is a city and a municipality in northern Portugal with a total area of 659.0 km² and a total population of 25,780 inhabitants. The municipality is composed of 37 parishes and is located in the district of Bragança. The present mayor is José Lopes Silvano, elected by the Social Democratic Party, and the municipal holiday is May 25. Mirandela is famous for its cuisine, particularly the alheiras.
