[edit] Chemistry

Miprocin is 4-hydroxy-N,N-methyl-isopropyltryptamine. Its full chemical name is 3-{2-[isopropyl(methyl)amino]ethyl}-1H-indol-4-ol. It is classified as a tryptamine derivative, and as an indole compound.

[edit] Effects

An experience on 4-HO-MiPT can be compared to psilocybin/psilocin and LSD, which are also tryptamines/indoles.

[edit] Dosage

An oral dose is usually 10-25mg. Reports of insufflation provide dosage similar to oral consumption, with a shorter come-up and shorter duration.

  • Onset : 20 - 60 minutes (depending on form and stomach contents)
  • Duration : 5 - 8 hours
  • Normal After Effects : 1 - 4 hours

[edit] Dangers

To date, there have been no reports of deaths from 4-HO-MiPT. It is a fairly rare compound with no toxicology studies as of 2005.

[edit] Law

4-HO-MIPT is unscheduled in the United States. It is possible that it could be considered an analog of psilocin (4-HO-DMT), or possibly 5-MeO-DIPT, in which case, sales for human consumption or possession with the intent to ingest could be prosecuted under the Federal Analog Act though we are unaware of any such existing cases (6/21/04). erowid.org
