[edit] About me
I don't much care for self-promotion or personal accolades. For the sake of interest, this page will contain a list of articles, templates, etc. to which I have contributed. I participate in the Canada collaboration, and can be found on the Canadian wikipedians' notice board.
I'm quite technically proficient, preferring the following software:
- FreeBSD (any BSD is good)
- PostgreSQL
- Perl
- Apache
- Postfix, though I haven't used it much
I prefer BSD-style licences for software (and knowledge in general).
[edit] Research
I always conduct research for any subject about which I write. It isn't hard to do, given so many good internet resources; it does require some skill in manipulating search engines to provide the answers one seeks, though. I may provide a guide in the future that'll describe how to do this. Poorly researched articles have little value, in my opinion. However, there is value in adding a piece of information temporarily, in anticipation of expanding the article. I fully support that. Please neglect the fact that I've created a few stubs; I'll be expanding them as time permits.
[edit] Articles
You can peruse the list of articles I've created, or those created by someone else, but to which I've contributed significantly. Here's a short list of my major contributions (culled from both lists):
- Happy Valley, York Regional Municipality, Ontario
- King City, Ontario
- Jefferson Salamander
- Vaughan—King—Aurora
- Briscola
- Famous People Players
- National Film Board of Canada
- Oak Ridges Moraine
- Wild Strawberries
[edit] Featured articles
None yet. I am contributing significantly to the National Film Board of Canada article, and the Oak Ridges Moraine family of articles, both of which I nominated for Canadian Collaboration of the Week (COTW). Hopefully, these articles will achieve featured status.
The current Canadian Collaboration of the Month is None. Every month a different Canada-related topic, stub or non-existent article is picked. |
