[edit] Roran, Morzan, Elva and Nasuada included?

Roran and Nasuada are two of the three main point of views in the Eldest. If you ask me they should have their own articles like several other story have for characters.
Morzan was a main character in Eragon and a antagonist in Eldest showing he should have his own seperate one aswell.
And Elva is a really important character aswell for her events.

I can understand for people like Angela and Solebum who make somewhat of a minor appearance but these four are really important in atleast one of the two books so far.--Animasage 01:37, 12 March 2007 (UTC)

As if often the case with "epic fantasy" novels there is a huge cast of characters, many of which are important to the storyline in some way. WP:FICT, the guidline for article writing on fiction, lays out the rules for central characters. In light of the fact that there are many important characters in this genre of literature, unlike standard fiction which often has only one or two central protagonists and/or antagonists, the job of defining who gets their own articles is alot harder. The best way to do this is to ask "Is this character known outside of the universe to non-fans?" In the case of say Han Solo, a non primary protagonist known outside of the Stars Wars universe, a seperate article would be appropriate. The characters you name and fundementally important supporting characters to the cental protagosnist, the character that drives the storyline, in this case Eragon. I don't feel that they are notable enough on their own to warrant their own article nor do I think that they support that much additional notable material outside of what is mentioned of them here, enough to "fill" their own article. Having "one's own article" is not a status or trophy but a editorial decision, one that doesn't make sense here. NeoFreak 13:31, 12 March 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Angela

In the article there is a statement that Paolini has said the Angela in the book is nothing like his sister. Can anyone find a citation for this? I can't find it anywhere. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Pyreforge (talkcontribs) 22:21, 29 March 2007 (UTC).
