[edit] England
Didn't Minako live in England for some time? When, and why? --Masamage 20:04, 15 August 2006 (UTC)
- No, she didn't live. She is a fictional character, she can't live :) I remember a chapter in the anime where she meets an old friend from the police, who was dating her ex-boyfriend or something like that. If that is correct, then it was sometime while being Sailor V. -- ReyBrujo 20:13, 15 August 2006 (UTC)
- Not that kind of live. ;P But yeah, I thought it was as Sailor V, and in particular, I thought she was there for an extended period of time. The Codename Wa article doesn't shed any further light on it, though. Blorp. --Masamage 20:18, 15 August 2006 (UTC)
in sailor moon s (anmie) a vollyballer frend sayed that she changed after she came back from englandSailor cuteness
- She was living in England while she was assuming the identity of Sailor V in the anime. When Luna started awakening the Senshi in Japan (a year after Minako had awoken) she transfered back to Japanese school. She also had a first love in England, but he had fallen in love with her "sister" the police officer. -SaturnYoshi 23:57, 13 September 2006 (UTC)
-
- Excellent! :D Wanna work that in? --Masamage 02:08, 14 September 2006 (UTC)
-
-
- Alright. Done. It may be a little lengthy, but tell me what you think. -SaturnYoshi 06:18, 14 September 2006 (UTC)

-
- I think this section really is too lengthy and detailed, especially for something that was only mentioned in one episode of the anime. Wouldn't it be enough just to say that in the anime, she spent some time in England working as Sailor V? --KagamiNoMiko 18:45, 10 October 2006 (UTC)

On earth, this character actually resides in Japan with the other Sailor Scouts. --PJ Pete
- True, most of the time. She does have a brief stint in England as Sailor V. --Masamage 05:11, 5 December 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Manga Image
As per the template (Ami's page) we need a manga civilian shot in the stats section. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Lego3400 (talk • contribs) 02:46, 4 December 2006 (UTC).
- That's still just a proposal; no one's commented yet. If you agree, do please mention it over there. ^^ --Masamage 20:10, 4 December 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Appearance
Sailor Venus wearing a bow, makes her look less mature than the other Sailor Scouts, because most teenage girls and older women don't wear bows on their heads and believe they're too old for them. --PJ Pete
And thats your opinain.. And your Opinain is not NPoV :PLego3400: The Sage of Time 16:37, 5 December 2006 (UTC)
- Come to that, I have no idea what connotation hair-bows have in Japan as opposed to the United States. It's probably different. --Masamage 20:07, 5 December 2006 (UTC)
-
- Seeing her without the hairbow (of which there are a few shots throughout the anime) makes her look even less mature IMHO. It's sort of a trademark, much like Ami's short hair or Usagi's odangoes. --Zyppora 15:55, 16 January 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Death of Venus PGSM
Acorrding to Mars' Page, Venus dies in PGSM? How is that possible if she is present in the Speical act? Does she get revived? I think this warrents a mention --Lego3400: The Sage of Time 16:58, 7 December 2006 (UTC)
- Yes, she does. I'm hesitant about adding that tidbit because it's such a huge spoiler--way, way moreso than anything in the anime, which is 14 years old. If we can figure out a way to put it in without spoiling anyone or making an excessively big deal about it, that would be great; let's just be very careful. --Masamage 17:50, 7 December 2006 (UTC)
-
- Considered me spoiled. I've known about it for some time (read it on Mars' page), I just haven't watched PGSM all the way through. -SaturnYoshi THE VOICES 02:28, 8 December 2006 (UTC)
-
-
- She does indeed die in PGSM. The reason for her return (as well as the faith of the other Senshi) would indeed be a huge spoiler (yes, I've watched the entire PGSM series, and found it to be more enjoyable in several ways than the anime). I say leave it out. If people really want to know what happened, they should watch the series. It's unlicensed and *should stop advertising* --Zyppora 15:53, 16 January 2007 (UTC)
-
To tell the truth, SHE DID NOT DIE!!!!!!!! --PJ Pete
- Stop creating arguments with everyone about a subject you obviously know very little about!!! -SaturnYoshi THE VOICES 08:52, 12 December 2006 (UTC)
-
- She did die. Watch the episode, dammit. The only way they could have made it more obvious is if they had actually shown the body. Why the hell do you think Rei broke down and Minako was completely absent from the final battle? 129.59.97.254 07:19, 9 January 2007 (UTC)
-
-
- No need to shout. I'm pretty sure this was a misunderstanding on PJ's part; no harm done. --Masamage 16:44, 9 January 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Quotes
What episode does this quote, "Whoops! Froze the whipping cream!" come from? --PJ Pete
- Episode 62, "Sailor Mercury Moving On?". -- RattleMan 03:47, 10 December 2006 (UTC)
If she froze the whipping cream, she found out it was disgusting. PJ Pete
- What are you talking about? The droid of the day went to go and attack Venus, but instead hit and froze some whipping cream. -- RattleMan 05:50, 10 December 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Stone Sword
Is it notable enough to mention that Venus, as the leader of the senshi, was entrusted with the poisonous stone sword Princess Serenity commited suicide with in the 11th act of the manga? I haven't been able to find any sort of reference to the sword in Wikipedia, despite it being an important plot point of the manga. It seems to me that either Minako or Usagi's profile would be the best place to put it. Any opinions? Torca 01:25, 23 December 2006 (UTC)
- I've wondered about that too. We do plan to eventually have a single page which talks about the first story arc (modelled on the already-extant Sailor Stars article)--that seems like a good place to me, especially since it never really comes up again. What do you think? --Masamage 01:32, 23 December 2006 (UTC)
-
- That works for me, although looking at the WP:SM page it doesn't seem like the first story arc's page will be made any time soon. Even so, there might should be a tie to it in the article, much like the talismans of Setsuna, Haruka, and Michiru. It demonstrates the leadership of her over the inner senshi, and it's good information for anyone who's trying to write a paper on her, or even a fan work. Torca 01:50, 23 December 2006 (UTC)
-
- Does anyone object to me putting the following line into the Sailor Venus section?
- In the manga, as the leader, she is entrusted with the poisonous sword used to kill Queen Beryl, which turns the stone blade into a sword made of Silver Imperium Crystal.
- It would go after the "...under the sometimes-awkward leadership of Sailor Moon." I'm afraid it might just be a spoiler though and I should cut out the Queen Beryl part. >.< This is why I can't edit, I'm too afraid to do anything! Torca 21:57, 25 December 2006 (UTC)
- Does anyone object to me putting the following line into the Sailor Venus section?
-
-
- It sounds great to me; nice and brief, and that's a good spot for it. There's a spoiler-warning right above the table of contents, so we're home free. :) My only nitpicks are that "Imperium" is an English-only name; the article lives at Silver Crystal, so using that term seems to make most sense (probably a link would be good too). Also, is it "turned into" a crystal sword or "revealed as" having been that all along? I'll let you answer that--feel free to edit it in to your heart's content. :) --Masamage 08:21, 26 December 2006 (UTC)
-
-
-
- I'm pretty sure it turned into it. The manga makes mention that the Moon has become poisonous and inhopsitable and it will remain so until they are rid of the Dark Kingdom's influence, then once Beryl is destroyed the sword is no longer poisonous stone but Silver Crystal. I can't think of any way to phrase it that would be neutral, though. [They never say anything about the sword explicitly] [Forgot to sign, sorry]Torca 03:49, 27 December 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Debut?
Minako's debut as Sailor V in the Sailor Moon manga is written as Act 1. I understand why, as she is mentioned, but she doesn't actually appear until act 7. Should that be mentioned somehow, or is Wikipedia's standards to go with when the character is first mentioned? Torca 04:15, 27 December 2006 (UTC)
- I don't know, but it seems like the discussion about turning those fields into prose (here and here) will have a lot to do with it. If it does become prose, we can just write "Sailor V is mentioned at the beginning of the series, and appears in person in Act 7." --Masamage 20:31, 27 December 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Attacks
Until we get her attack section in to prose, i gave it a little bit of a rearange. I put her V and Venus henshins together and merged her Live action into the the main attacks. I made V's and Venus' attacks as their own sub sections of the attacks. Hopefully this saves some space. --Lego3400: The Sage of Time 16:59, 19 February 2007 (UTC)
- Looks good! --Masamage 22:14, 19 February 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Sera Myu actress websites storage
I'm putting these here cos it looks a bit bad atm. They can be reinstated later easily then. Emilie Barlow and Ayumi Murata's websites are listed on their wiki pages, also the page given for Mizuki Watanabe is defunct. -Malkinann 08:19, 20 February 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Japanese names of Sailor Senshi
For the Sailor Senshi, they should have their Japanese names of which Sailor Scout they are which the first word is "Seeraa", literally "Sailor", and then where they came from. "Sailor Venus" in Japanese is "Seeraa Viinasu". --PJ Pete
- If its literally sailor venus that do we need to put it? ♥Eternal Pink-ready for love♥ 22:34, 1 March 2007 (UTC)
- It's actually Sērā Bīnasu. It's possible that we could include the katakana...probably not a transliteration, though. Certainly it should not be the name of the article. --Masamage 22:45, 1 March 2007 (UTC)
- This isnt' related to the discussion or the article, but something bothered me. According to katakana, there are kana for "v*"-type sounds, but whenever I see them, they're romanized as "b*". What's the deal? JuJube 22:41, 1 March 2007 (UTC)
- Wow, I had never seen that before. It's the "U" katakana with a ten-ten above it; wacky! They certainly pronounce it with a B sound in the series, but this manga next to me does in fact use the V katakana. And so does my Materials Collection. I am floored. --Masamage 22:45, 1 March 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Music - storage
A number of songs featuring Minako's character have been released.[1]
From the original anime, sung by Rika Fukami:
-
- "Route Venus"
- "Setsunakute Ii" (I'll Stand Alone) from Sailor Moon R
- "Anata no Yume wo Mita wa" (I Saw Your Dream)
- "Ai no Megami no How To Love" (The Goddess of Love's "How to Love") from Sailor Stars
From the musicals, sung by various actresses:
-
- "Traditional the Grace"
- "Over the Moon"
In Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon, as fitting with her role of an idol, Minako has many songs. These were sung by her actress, Ayaka Komatsu:[2]
-
- "Romance"
- "I'm Here"
- "C'est la vie ~ Watashi no Naka no Koi Suru Bubun" (C'est la vie ~ The Loving Part Inside Me)
- "Katagoshi ni Kinsei" (Venus Over My Shoulder)
- "Kiss!2 Bang!2"
- "Sayonara ~ Sweet Days" (Goodbye ~ Sweet Days)
- "Happy Time, Happy Life"
-
- In the Musicals Over the Moon was sung by all the senshi, although she did sing most of it in Ai no Sancuary(Mars, Mercury, and Jupiter also sung a bit of it)Yayamaya 20:29, 19 March 2007 (UTC)
