From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
HaMinzar is a Bar (also know as a Pub) Located in the centre and the downtown area of Tel Aviv, Israel. Not very far from the shores of the Mediterranean Sea. This bar is known for its unorthodox opening hours, as it hasn't stopped working for more than 10 years, hosting a varied clientele, both local and touristic in its 3-deck non-bauhaus structure.
In accordance to the Minzar being a Main cultural centre, several films were shot in it, including the film Beautiful Tamar (Israel 2005, directed by Nimrod Kamer) and the video clip "Sputnik in Love" [1], for a song of the Tel Avivian based poet Roy "Chicky" Arad.
That same Minzar bar had also featured in the academical theory The Nachil by Joshua Simon (Archisex magazine, 2003. Editor: Rinat Berkowitz). In it the author stats that like a "Nachil" (equals a Swarm in Hebrew) teenage girls from the northern parts of Tel Aviv and Herzliyya tend to come to the Minzar in order to offer themselves to the Tel Aviv local hunters.
