Mintlaw Academy

Mintlaw Academy is a secondary school in Aberdeenshire, Scotland. It was opened in 1981 and had about 600 enrolled students, and in August of 2003, it had about 920 enrolled students. THe reactor is William McWhirr, The school opened in 1981 and with a capacity of 1,000 serves the rural communities of Central Buchan and draws pupils from the villages of Mintlaw, Fetterangus, Longside, Maud, New Deer, New Pitsligo, Strichen and Stuartfield and the surrounding area.

Mintlaw Academy is very well equipped with extensive learning resources, a high quality and extensive computer network, good practical areas and extensive sports facilities including an all-weather pitch.

The school also has a wide range of extra-curricular activities available to pupils.
