The Golden Years Debbie Reynolds

She is Kim's paternal grandmother, was first mentioned in the episode Downhill and made her first appearance in The Golden Years. She is almost as skilled a fighter as Kim, having trained in "Pang Lang Quan Kung Fu" in a Shaolin Monastery, became a top aviatrix, and the first woman to finish the Navy's Basic Underwater Demolition Course (BUDS, also known as the Navy SEAL's training program). Unfortunately for Kim. she never knew about this until they were pitted against each other by Drakken.

In her first appearance, she was wildly over protective of Kim, almost to the point of smothering and was actively against her teen hero lifestyle, regarding it as just a phase. At first, Kim felt that this was because her grandmother was behind the times and didn't understand her. It wasn't until Drakken pitted them against each other through a mind control signal in the hearing aids of all Miami's senior citizens that Kim learned the truth.

It then became apparent that Nana's objections came from the fact that she knows how dangerous such a lifestyle is and even grandparents would like something better for their children and she may have also seen a little too much of herself in her granddaughter. But it wasn't until Nana could see that Kim was more than capable of holding her own that she generally became more accepting.

At the end of the episode when Kim's parents come to pick her up they are surprised to see Kim and Nana in combat training. More often than not Kim ends up on the mat with Nana standing over her. She goes far as to help out Kim in the episode "A Very Possible Christmas" when Kim went searching for Ron, who was stranded at the North Pole with Drakken. The entire family donned mission outfits similar to Kim's and Nana, a pilot, flew the jet.

[edit] Cousin Larry

Cousin Larry 1 Monkey Fist Strikes Brian Posehn

Larry is Kim's cousin. He's also friends with Ron. Although his last name has never been given, it is assumed that his mother, June, is James Possible's sister.

Larry comes off as pretty much the stereotypical nerd. From sci-fi conventions to cosplay to online discussion groups to video games, Larry does it all. He even participates with others of his kind in an underground robot fighting club. Kim has pretty much disliked Larry since they were three years old, mostly because she doesn't share his interests (a fact that Larry doesn't seem to pick up on). Ron however, shares a lot of Larry's interests and therefore, gets along with him quite well. In fact, it was Larry's advice that ultimately led to Ron acquiring his Mystical Monkey power.

Larry first appeared in the episode Monkey Fist Strikes and later returned in Grudge Match. The Season 4 episode title Larry's Birthday indicates that he is scheduled to reappear sometime in the future.

[edit] Hana

Hana Stoppable 4 Big Bother
Hana is Ron's adopted sister. According to interviews with the shows creators she is due to appear for the first time in Season 4.

Little is known about Hana, except that she is linked to the mythology of the Yamanouchi ninja school and that she has a great destiny ahead of which is tied to both the mystical monkey powers and to Ron and Yori. Her first apperance was April 7, 2007. [1][2]

[edit] Shawn

cousin Shawn 3 Bad Boy Tara Strong
"Shawn" is Ron's 7-year-old cousin. Ever a troublemaker, he's apparently been a constant source of torment for Ron at family functions. (Ron still hasn't forgotten the time Shawn poured gravy down his pants.) He owns a pet lizard who apparently has made numerous attempts to eat Rufus. Unfortunately, since Shawn is still a little kid, Ron's complaints at his behavior have gone pretty much ignored. Ron wasn't able to ditch him until Kim agreed to be Ron's date at his cousin Reuben's wedding, thus sparing Ron from having to sit at the "Kid's Table". Ron also resorted to using the Attitudinator device to make Shawn less annoying. Shawn's last name is never given.

[edit] Mrs. Load

Mrs. Load
Wade's mother appears sporadically through the series. Her most notable appearance was in the episode Mothers' Day, when Wade treated her to a celebration in his room, complete with takeout French cuisine and even a holographic beach.

She later reappears in The Cupid Effect, where Señor Senior Sr., posing as a delivery man, distracts her with flowers and a love poem.

She is married to Lontaine Load, who is referenced verbally, but is never seen on screen.

[edit] Miriam "Mim" Possible and Jon Stoppable

Mim and Jon
Mim and Jon

Miriam and Jon are ancestors of Kim and Ron, seen during a dream sequence in "Rewriting History".

According to the episode, Miriam (or "Mim", for short) was a highly respected reporter for Old Middleton's local newspaper. However, while she was reporting on the science exhibition at the world fair, the new invention of the "Electro-Static Illuminator" was stolen, and Mim was blamed for the theft. It isn't until the modern-day Kim Possible hears about her "black sheep" ancestor when it's revealed that Mim was framed for the theft by the ancestors of Shego and Drakken, Miss Go and Bart Lipsky. Mim's closest friend, Jonathan "Jon" Stoppable was a detective, who's every bit as clumsy and scatterbrained as his descendant. He was the only person who believed that Mim was innocent, and he tried desperately, but unsuccessfully, to prove it. Jon was an especially big fan of the concept of the taco (which, back then, was a novelty), which parallels Ron's love for the Naco.

Jon Stoppable makes two appearances outside of "Rewriting History". He can be seen holding a test tube as part of a Middleton Days float in "Emotion Sickness", and Ron, dressed as Jon, can be seen during a faux-flashback by Ron during "Ron Millionaire". Kim, dressed as Miriam, can also be seen during the faux-flashback.

As dream sequence characters, Miriam and Jon do not have a confirmed place within series canon.

Mim and Jon are voiced by Christy Carlson Romano and Will Friedle, respectively.
