Minnesota State Highway 84 is a 31 mile long route connecting MN 371 in Pine River to MN 200 north of Longville in north central Minnesota. A very rural route, its only other incorporated municipality besides Pine River and Longville is the village of Chicakamaw Beach (pop. 148), which is about 7 miles north of Pine River. The route is two lanes throughout except for a small portion in Pine River just east (north) of its southern terminus and is a winding road with several sharp turns of 25 MPH or less. It does intercept the eastern terminus of MN 87 about midway between Pine River and Longville.
