Ministry of propaganda

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

An agency or ministry of propaganda is a part of the government that is in charge of coordinating propaganda, and which bears a name which describes this function. Though governments routinely engage in propaganda, propaganda ministries are exceedingly rare, especially in the years since World War II, after which the term "propaganda" took on its negative connotation.
