Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare (Japan)
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare (厚生労働省 Kōseirōdōshō?) is one of cabinet level ministries in the Japanese government. It is commonly known as Kōrō-shō (厚労省) or Kōsei-shō (厚生省) in Japan. This government body provides regulations on Maximum Residue Limits for Agricultural Chemicals in Foods, basic food and drug regulations, Standards for Foods, Food Additives, etc.
Incidentally, in January 2007, Minister of Health, Labour and Welfare (厚生労働大臣 Kōseirōdōdaijin?) Hakuo Yanagisawa stated at his public speech in Matsue, Shimane that Japanese women are "birth-giving machines/devices" and that each of them should function in her best.
