From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The Ministry of Competitiveness, Training and Trade is a government department in the province of Manitoba, Canada. It was established in 2006, combining responsibilities from the ministries of Industry, Economic Development and Mines, Intergovernmental Affairs and Trade and Advanced Education and Training. Premier Gary Doer argued that the ministry was the first of its kind in Canada, noting that it combined taxation concerns with long-term strategies for education and training.[1]
The first minister appointed to the position was Scott Smith.
